How to Book: Step by step

1. Email us and we'll send you our Wedding Day Information questionnaire.  Or, fill out the information form on the Contact Us page.

2. We will email you a quote within 2 business days.

3. Set up your trial (we strongly recommend trials but they are not mandatory).  Send us 3 dates with time frames that work for your schedule in order of preference.  We will do our best to accommodate one of the three.

4. Pay for your trial if you have chosen this option. (We require trial payments in advance to hold the trial date and the wedding date).

5. Complete your trial.

6. Return a signed contract to us and pay your deposit.

7. Confirm your final headcount for hair and/or makeup services ten weeks prior to your wedding by completing the Final Headcount Agreement (FHA).

The Mirror Test

As a bride-to-be, you'll hear much about what you should do with your hair and makeup so that you look good for "camera" and for "pictures."  We say forget all of that conjecture and do the mirror test.  When you get your hair and makeup done, do you feel as though you look good in the mirror?  Do you feel like the best version of yourself?  Do you still recognize the person in the reflection?  Are you comfortable with who you see?  If you can say yes to all of those questions, then you've passed the mirror test and your look is perfect for your wedding day.  If you look good in the mirror- you'll look even better in photos.  The camera captures not only your physical appearance, but it has an uncanny ability to capture confidence, and self-assuredness as well.  If you feel good when you look in the mirror, that's what will transfer into pictures.  Rest assured that makeup and hair done by a skilled professional will always read well on camera, so it's truly about your feeling when you look in the mirror that matters.  And remember that your wedding is an experience that lives as much if not more in your memory and in your heart than in photos.  Pictures are incredibly important, but more important is how you feel in your own skin and how you feel when you are walking down the aisle.  

Weddings: How it All Works

        If you would like to book our hair and/or makeup services without a trial, your wedding date is immediately put on reserve and officially confirmed for you.  You will be presented with a contract promising our services to you for the date and time specified in your quote and outlined on your contract.  The contract must be returned to us within 2 weeks of confirming you are booking wedding day services, along with the required deposit in order to keep your wedding date.  The deposit is 25% of total expected services. DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE and are put toward the balance of your wedding day services.  The balance of total services is due on the day of the wedding.  Payment options are cash, same day e-transfer, VISA, Mastercard, or American Express.

      If you would like to book a trial before confirming our services (recommended), your wedding date will still immediately go on reserve for you, but will not be officially confirmed until after the trial.  We hold the wedding date until your trial is completed.  Upon completion of the trial, the wedding date is then held for an additional 48 hrs- this is the waiting period we grant for our clients to decide if they will be booking our services.  If the date is not booked within 48 hrs, AMR re-opens the date to other inquiring clients.  If you decide to move forward, you will be presented with the contract and will be required to pay the deposit.  The contract must be returned to us within 2 weeks of confirming you are booking wedding day services, along with the required deposit in order to keep your wedding date.  The deposit amount is 25% of total expected services. Again, DEPOSITS ARE NON REFUNDABLE and are put toward the balance of your wedding day services.  The balance of total services is due on the day of the wedding.  Trial costs are completely separate and unrelated to costs of wedding day services.  Payment options are cash, same day e-transfer, VISA, Mastercard, or American Express.

          Enjoy the convenience of having one of our makeup artists stay with you for the entirety of your wedding day for touch ups and to keep you looking perfect.  Your group will first be processed by our team for your specified start time as outlined in your quote.  Once your group is ready and off to your ceremony, the MUA for the day will meet you after the ceremony at the location where you are taking your photos (typically a park).  The MUA for the day will do touch ups on hair and makeup for the entire group (whomever had services done by our team initially) and then stay with you and your group while you do photos.  After photos, your MUA for the day will meet you at the location of the reception and do final touch-ups for you before you enter.  The MUA for the day is with you for a maximum of 5 hours, beginning from the end time outlined in your quote.  So final touch ups for your group will be carried out just before five hours expires regardless of whether you are ready to enter your reception or not. This is a great service as it offers consistent attention to detail for you and your group, which is especially beneficial when wanting to stay looking your best as you move from one location to another, over a prolonged period of time. This services does not include a full hair and makeup change for the bride, but a partial change if they choose. A full hair and makeup change is charged at 50% of the regular hair and makeup costs.
